Disable Auto Brightness Changing: An Advice For People Working with Colors on Windows 11

Problem

I was always noticing that the background color of my site (#6E7B6C) seems to be brighter when I first open it up, then within a few seconds, it would automatically be darker. However, using some color capturers would give the exact same color.

After a bit of experimenting, I realized that it only happened if I went from a dark/black background screen.

That’s how I began to find clues in Windows 11 auto brightness change.

Solution

In system settings, open System -> Monitors, find the brightness bar at the top, and click the expand button on the right;

In the expanded menu, disable something like Changing brightness according to the content.

After that, it should be fine.

It can be annoying for someone working with colors.
